What They Offer

Curtaining fabrics, including 100% blockout ranges, chosen for how well they hold a fold and fall.

Why We Chose Silkhouse

Why we chose Silkhouse

Blockout fabric has a reputation for looking stiff, and a lot of it deserves that reputation. Silkhouse is one of the ranges we reach for when a client wants full blockout — for a media room, a bedroom, anywhere light control matters — without the curtain looking like a sheet of plastic once it’s hung.

We used Silkhouse’s blockout fabric on a recent wave-pleat curtain project at Xanadu Nature Estate in Hartbeespoort, chosen specifically for its drape quality — enough body to hold the wave fold, enough softness to fall properly. That’s the standard we hold every blockout fabric to, and it’s why Silkhouse stays in our regular rotation.

Silkhouse FAQ

Common questions

Have you actually used Silkhouse fabric on a real project?

Yes — most recently for the 100% blockout wave-pleat curtains on our Xanadu Nature Estate project in Hartbeespoort, where we needed a blockout fabric with enough body to hold a proper wave fold.
